Spinach and Goats Cheese Omlette
Ever wondered how you make the perfect fluffy omlette? We have the answer, and it’s really really simple… we show you how to make the perfect omlette with this spinach and goats cheese omlette!
- 4 large hens eggs
- 2 handful spinach
- small pack goats cheese
- knob of butter
So how do you make the perfect fluffy omlette?
NOW FOR THE TOP TRICK: Separate your egg yolk from your egg white. In a bowl whisk the egg whites until they start to show lines (make sure you don’t make them stiff though, we’re not making meringue!) THEN, add your egg yolk and lightly beat until the mixture is an even colour.
Everything else you make like you would a normal omlette… so melt your butter in a frying pan. Add your omlette mix, add your spinach (wilt it before hand or add in fresh), then sprinkle your goats cheese on top. After cooking on one side for 5 minutes or so on a low heat, flip it over or grill the top to brown off and melt the cheese.
Serve with fresh salad or sweet potato fries… the choice is yours.
And it really is that simple. Sure it takes a few minutes more to separate the eggs, but trust me, it’s worth it!
