Roasted Chickpeas
We all love a snack! Let’s face it.
This Roasted Chickpeas tip is designed to fill that inevitable void when you change your diet but still want something to munch when you’re watching a film or for that 3pm office snack.
So why chickpeas? Well, they’re tasty, cheap and packed with nutrients your body needs. They’re high in dietry fibre, potassium, iron and magnesium (a difficiency in magnesium is often attributed to migraines)… need more reasons? They’re rich in protein too, keeping you fuller for longer, and a great source of folate.

Ingredients
- 1 tin soaked chickpeas
- 1 tsp himilayan or sea salt
- 1/2 tsp mixed indian spices or paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
- Set the oven to gas mark 3 or fan 160oC.
- Open the tin of chickpeas and drain well. Place on a baking tray and dab the chickpeas with kitchen roll to soak up excess moisture.
- Drizzle in the olive oil, salt and spice of your choice and Roll the chickpeas round to make sure they're all covered.
- Roast for around 50 minutes on this low heat. Allow to cool and serve cold.
