Make your own Cranberry Gin
Whilst on my weekly shop the other week, I noticed they’d started stocking fresh cranberries in the run up to Christmas. I saw this as a little bit of a Masterchef challenge, and thought I’d make something with the beautifully bright cranberries on offer. The first thing I made was cranberry and white chocolate muffins (which were delicious), and wanting to try something different, I decided to make something for a Christmas cocktail – make your own Cranberry Gin was a goer!
I’ll hold my hands up and say “I’m Becky and I’m a gin lover” for this next section. Gin seemed the natural choice for my cranberry infusion, so I purchased a bottle 1ltre bottle of gin which cost around £16 on offer. The steps to make the gin can be found below, and I can assure you, it’s super sweet, super Christmassy and goes down a little TOO easy if you get my drift, so take it steady!
If you’re not a massive gin lover yourself but are stuck for Christmas presents for your girlfriends, one of the best ideas I recently saw on Pinterest was making a big batch of this – say 1 or 2 litres – and separating it up into bottles for each friend. You could also use the same technique with other fruits such as lemons, limes, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, sloes or damsons! So much inspiration…
