Homemade Sausage Rolls
quality sausage meat
(good quality sausages will work too)
salt and pepper
Set your oven to 180oC or gas mark 7. Take your sausage meat (or split open your sausages and take out the meat) and place in a mixing bowl.
Chop your cranberries into thin slices. Add them to the mixing bowl and bind.
Roll or lay out your pastry. Take your sausage meat mix and place down the centre of the pastry, forming one long line.
Roll your pastry to form one long sausage roll, and chop into 6 rolls.
Place on a greased baking tray on baking paper. Crack an egg into a seperate bowl and whisk round slightly. Take your pastry brush and brush all the rolls with the egg wash.
Bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
