Homemade Cranberry Sauce
After making my cranberry gin for Christmas cocktails, I had a few cranberries left over and I was all out of inspiration! When my friend mentioned at the pub that she loved cranberry sauce with brie and toast, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give some homemade cranberry sauce a go and make her a batch to use over the festive season.
This recipe is really easy. If you’re making it for Christmas day to go with the turkey, it’s fab, or alternatively why not make a batch and keep it in the cupboard? I will last a good month or so with sugar and alcohol as a preservative.

- Add your ingredients to a saucepan. Place a lid or some tin foil over the pan and place on a low heat. Stir every few minutes until the cranberries go all mushy. This shouldn't take any longer than 15-20 minutes.
- Once the sauce has formed, turn off the hob and leave the sauce to cool. Store in a sterilised jar and enjoy!
This cranberry sauce works perfectly with a bacon and brie sandwich!
