Healing Rose Petal Tea
I’ve mentioned before that I love my herb garden. I use it for cooking of course, but also for creating some holistic herbal teas!
In this little treat was a black tea bag, fresh lavendar, dried rose petals and Lemon.
Herbal teas are ridiculously good for you and all you need is a base of tea leaves or tea bag, and you can create your own tea from there.
What’s so nutritional about this one? Well, rose petals have been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years to treat digestive disorders, injury pain, menstraul irregularities and more, plus, its a natural aphrodisiac and brilliant for stress relief.
Lemons are rich in vitamin C, calcium and potassium. They boost the immune system, flush toxins from the body, aid digestion and can be used to treat inflammation too.
Whilst lavendar is an excellent antiseptic and is used to treat headaches, sprains, toothache and sores.
All in all this tea combination makes the perfect all round healing tool, try it before you reach for the paracetamol next time!
You can also drink the tea as an ice tea. Just wait for the tea to cool and serve over ice and finish with lavendar stalks.
Not a fan of lavendar tea but want something healthy? Green Tea is super high in antioxidants (especially the matcha version) and with anti-cancer properties. It’s used for a variety of all-round health benefits. If you don’t drink green tea, there’s lots of scientific research to make you change your mind, just click here!
